Intellectual Property Rights in Southeast Asia


In order to identify and support cooperation for the framework conditions in STI and effective private-public partnership, as well as contribute to the Innovation Session of the STI Days 2014, this workshop on Intellectual Property Rights invited selected experts from public and private sectors to introduce and discuss relevant IPR issues with the target audience.


The Workshop featured presentations on the ASEAN IPR SME Helpdesk project with major findings and an overview of the IPR framework conditions in the ASEAN Member States; provision of expert´s inputs on producing IP through research activities and good practices examples on supporting researchers on IP issues in different cases; as well as a panel discussion including representatives from the private and public sectors. A general Q&A session was carried out at the end of the Workshop for experts to interact with the audience.
